Caboodles Anyone?

Caboodles has revamped their line and has made some really cute cosmetics cases. Since they remind me of my childhood, I thought it would be fun to find out what beauty trends you miss the most. The comment I like best will win a prize! Just write your comment on this post. Check out my past post “Nostalgic Beauty” for some inspiration! A winner will be selected on November 6th.

My new cases are similar!

Primp On! XOXO

  1. I’ve always appreciated the beautifully arched & sculpted eyebrows and the classic red lip that seemed to be all the rage in the late 1950’s early 1960’s, much like Joan on Mad Men. Not sure if I can say I miss it though since it seems to have made a major comeback.

  2. I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s with 2 older sisters so our house was full of all kinds of makeup/beauty products from pots of Mary Quant lipgloss and eyeshadow to jars of Dippity Do hair gel they would use before rolling their hair in curlers as big as coke cans. It was a fun if sometimes mysterious journey to finding the ultimate products that would make me look like Cheryl Tiegs. Trust me, never gonna happen!
Who didn’t love Nature Blush (? name) by Coty which was supposed to change to your perfect shade? If a stripe of bright peachy pink warpaint is your color then it was perfect. Anything made by Bonne Bell was also a huge hit. Loved the huge LipSmackers and the 10 O 6 lotion which would strip your skin of any natural oils that might be lurking there after cleansing.
The multitude of of shampoos… we had a different one in the house every month. Herbal Essence, Lemon Up, Faberge Organics (I’m sure I told more than 2 friends), and never forget Prell which, we later found out, was so strong you could perm your hair with it!

Oh, the good old days! Thanks for prompting the trip down memory lane.
